yesterday was such a fufilling day (: since it was so packed, i'l split it up to parts
1. math sa: best sa ive had in a long time xD hopefully my confidence is reflected in my scores :) ah wells, i did study hard for this one
2. chinese: 49! i cant believe i actually got 49 for that essay! O: i thought it was really crappy lor. i was rushing through it cos i had so much to write but not enough time. so i thought it may have been a little sub-standard. but ah wells! thats the highest ive ever got for any chinese compo xD even though im quite sure i had minused all 4 marks for 错字s, but ah wells, thats almost default for me already, so it doesnt really count xD
3. school: uh the usual? although it did seem like a SUPER LONG DAY D:
4. psb gm: i must say. ive never really thought psb could ever disappoint me. but it did. why? sigh.
like tradition calls for, miao asked after the spsb09 briefing for a raise of hands to demonstrate the no. of people who would like to join spsb09. and it was just. shocking. for a whole moment the whole back row where the spsls were seated were just silenced. the no. of hands... well. we've never expected so few. yeah i mean, we did hear about this huge bunch of people not wanting to join, but seeing it is different. i rmb last year, 33 out of about 40 plus of us raised our hands.
and cheered. but now... there wasnt even 20. really. we were just stunned. some of the people who didnt raise their hands were the ones we had put our hopes on. but. ahhhh sigh. its not like we could do anything, because it isnt our decision to make. but yeah. that sense of disappointment and helplessness... i dunno, its terrible. longchuan started crying and i really felt like it. but since i dont usually cry, i was just left feeling overwhelming distraught. i still am.
but then again. there were a few of them who had raised their hands and im so proud of them. yeah sure, the application is still a long way off, but i think all of those people who put up their hands yesterday really... i dunno. i really thank them. because maybe it showed that as spsls we've done that little bit to inspire them, to encourage them, to show them that spsb was a not only a group of similarly minded people, but we were a force. a force bonded by love for ourselves and for what we do.
5. sgh: yesterday was the once in a month event that sgh puts up, so we went down there to provide some help. everytime i go there, i dunno, i really leave feeling fortunate. no offense meant to the patients, but seeing all the wheelchair bound folks makes me appreciate my ability to move. yeah.
anws, the two patients i wheeled down yesterday were really nice and friendly xD the show itself wasnt as good as the cny one i saw the last time, but it was ok i guess. we worked to about 9 pm. yeah.
